Linen Cotton Plaid Peter Pan Dress

This has been useful on those days when the temperature changes from morning to evening. I wear it by itself with flat sandals during the day, then add a thin cardigan when it cools down. The sleeves fit easily under the cardigan, and the little collar still shows nicely. I’m 57 and appreciate clothing that feels relaxed without looking like something I would only wear around the house.

I was between sizes, so I contacted customer service before ordering. They replied that afternoon and suggested a medium based on my bust measurement. Their recommendation was right. The shoulders sit comfortably, and there is still enough room through my middle without the dress looking too large.

I added gold bracelets and white sandals for an evening at a friend’s home. Those small touches made the dress feel special, but I was still comfortable enough to relax after dinner.

The muted gray purple color looks lovely with my silver earrings. It feels softer near my face than black or navy.

The sleeves cover the fullest part of my upper arms without feeling tight. The slight puff gives me room to move, but it doesn’t make my shoulders look wider.

The pockets are roomy enough for my keys and a few small things. I like being able to leave my purse behind for a quick walk.

I washed it in cold water and let it dry on a hanger. The linen cotton fabric became a little softer, and the button placket stayed straight. I used a light steam on the skirt before wearing it again, but it didn’t need much work.

I was a little concerned that the rounded collar might look too young on me. Once I tried it on, the muted color and simple shape made it feel classic rather than childish.
